Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to all orders of digital content (e-books) from Easy Language Books by consumers through easylanguagebooks.com, and to the online practice on platform.easylanguagebooks.com that comes with each e-book.

You can register on the platform from the age of 16. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to buy.

2. Contract partner and seller of record

Your contract partner is Yehor Chulkov, sole proprietor, trading as Easy Language Books, Gertrude-Fröhlich-Sandner-Straße 2, Turm 9/Etage 9, 1100 Wien, Austria, telephone +43 677 628 957 82, e-mail [email protected] (“we”; see the Imprint).

Payment is processed by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments; the purchase is concluded as “Sold through Link”. For VAT purposes, the Stripe company Sold Through Link, LLC (“Link”) supplies the e-book to you. Link calculates and remits the VAT and sends you the payment receipt and the invoice by e-mail. As the publisher, we remain responsible for the e-book, for providing its files and for the online practice. Stripe's “Sold Through Link Terms” apply in addition.

3. Subject of the contract

Each purchase covers one e-book in two formats, PDF and EPUB, together with the online practice for that book (section 8). These terms apply to every e-book offered on this website, in each of its language editions, among them:

• “Spanish from 0 to C2” by Ben Hartley (Spanish for English speakers);
• «Inglés de 0 a C2» by Hugo Kent (English for Spanish speakers);
• “German from 0 to C2” by Yehor Chulkov (German for English speakers).

4. Ordering and conclusion of the contract

The presentation of the e-books on this website is a non-binding invitation to order. The order works like this:

1. You click the buy button on the book's page and are taken to Stripe's payment page.
2. There you enter your e-mail address, name, billing address and payment details. Before paying, you can check and correct all your entries on that page.
3. By completing the order with the pay button on the payment page (an order with an obligation to pay), you make a binding offer.
4. After payment, the thank-you page opens, and we send you an e-mail, to the address you gave, with the link to your personal download page.

The contract is concluded with the payment confirmation and the provision of the download. The contract text is not stored separately; these terms are available on this website at any time. The contract language is the language of the page on which you order; the English version of these terms is binding.

5. Prices and payment

Each e-book costs €24.99. The final prices in euros shown when you order apply. They include VAT, which Link shows on the invoice.

Payment is made through the payment methods offered on the payment page: credit and debit card and Bancontact; depending on the device, also Apple Pay or Google Pay.

6. Delivery of the e-books

After successful payment, you receive at the e-mail address given with the order the link to your personal download page for the PDF and EPUB files. For an e-book bought from 31 October 2026, the page first asks for your consent to immediate provision (section 9); the files open after that consent or, without it, once the 14-day withdrawal period has ended. The download links are personal; keep the e-mail to download the files again.

7. Technical requirements and use of the files

To read the e-book you need a program or app that opens PDF files and, for the EPUB file, an e-book reader app that supports EPUB. The download and the online practice need an internet connection. The online practice runs in a browser (current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge) on desktop and mobile; there is nothing to install. The files carry no technical protection measures (DRM).

The files are for your personal use only and may not be passed on to third parties.

8. Online practice

The online practice for each book is free for its buyers: every lesson and test of the book with audio, exercises that check your answers, word cards and an AI tutor. Right after payment, we open the book's course on platform.easylanguagebooks.com for the e-mail address you gave when paying: we create a learning account for it, or enrol your existing account, and the platform e-mails you a sign-in link. Access to the online practice has no time limit. It ends if the purchase is refunded or withdrawn.

Your account is personal and not transferable. Give truthful information when you register, keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. The same account also works on the Deutsch mit Yehor platform, which the same operator runs; each platform shows only its own courses.

Please do not misuse the platform: do not scrape its content automatically, do not try to reverse-engineer the platform or its AI features beyond what the law allows, do not share your sign-in details, and do not post unlawful, offensive or discriminatory content (for example in reviews, chat messages or support requests). For significant or repeated violations we may suspend or close an account, generally after a warning, and without notice in serious cases. You can delete your account yourself at any time in your account settings.

The AI tutor, the grading of free-text answers, translation help and the conversion of your voice input into text use OpenAI models. AI-generated content, grading, explanations and translations may be inaccurate or incomplete; they are learning support, not professional advice, and do not replace an official language exam. We strive to keep the platform available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability (for example during maintenance or third-party outages).

9. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. The instructions and the model withdrawal form are on the Right of Withdrawal page.

For an e-book bought on or after 31 October 2026, the right of withdrawal lapses once the download begins, provided that before the first download you expressly agreed that its provision begins before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG); we confirm this consent to you by e-mail. Without this consent, your right of withdrawal remains, and the files become available for download once the 14-day withdrawal period has ended. This applies to the purchase as a whole, including the online practice that comes with the book. For an e-book bought before 31 October 2026, the right of withdrawal does not lapse on download.

Our page Withdraw from the contract (easylanguagebooks.com/order/withdraw/) lets you withdraw online: enter your name, your e-mail address, the contract you are withdrawing from and how we can reach you, then confirm with the button. We confirm receipt of your withdrawal by e-mail without delay, stating its content and the date and time of receipt. If you withdraw, we refund the price through Link to your original payment method; your right to use the files and your access to the online practice end with the refund.

There is no separate money-back guarantee; your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Rights of use

With full payment, you receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the e-book and the online practice for private purposes. Passing them on, making them publicly available, reproducing them beyond private use and reselling them are not permitted, except where mandatory law permits it. All course content, texts, audio, exercises and graphics are protected by copyright and belong to the publisher or its licensors.

11. Statutory warranty

Statutory rights in the event of a lack of conformity apply. For consumer contracts for digital content and digital services, these include the rights under the Austrian Verbrauchergewährleistungsgesetz (VGG): we owe the e-book and the online practice free of defects and, for as long as we supply them, provide the updates needed to keep them usable as agreed. These terms do not restrict mandatory warranty rights.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation, under the statutory rules, for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, and for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and only up to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. Mandatory claims under the Austrian Product Liability Act and your statutory warranty rights are unaffected.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of your habitual residence (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation). For claims against consumers, the mandatory jurisdiction rules of the Brussels I bis Regulation or the Austrian Jurisdiction Act (JN) apply, which may provide for jurisdiction at the consumer's place of residence.

14. Consumer dispute resolution

The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
